Here I go, getting you all excited about this great new series that I’m launching, and then I don’t launch it. Yeah, sorry about that.
What happened is this: I got up yesterday morning, started working on my Guatemala Eats post, and the electricity went out. For a very long time. Essentially, all day.
It was only later that I learned it was an intentional department-wide outage that had been scheduled so that our electric company could work in many towns at once. It was kind of like ConEd deciding to turn off all of the electricity in the state of New York. While that kind of stuff doesn’t usually happen there, it does here.
Anyways, my apologies. I will now bring you breakfast from yesterday, at what is about time for lunch. I guess you could say you’re getting leftovers. But everyone loves leftovers, right? Right?!
